The weird thing is that my hotzone is not over the pick up but it's more in between the two pick ups 😅 It still puzzles me how that's a thing. Maybe it has to do with the frequency of the vibration of the string and the dead zones in the oscillation. Either way great video, very educative!

while I find this technique fascinating, the sonic end of it gets monotonous real fast, imo. like listening to whale calls while snorkeling or something, so not my cup of tea 🤷‍♂

I've been away for a bit and it's good to see you still going strong. Checking out what I've missed while away I noticed you've never reviewed the Boomerang III. By some accounts, the 'Rang III is the closest to trad, tape-based, Frippertronis, that one can get without using open-reel tape machines. However, I can't think of anyone on YT more qualified than you (or Robert) to proffer a definitive assessment.

This pedal gave me a vibe that I could actually use it like a pre for everything that I record, from voice to keyboard or drums, I have a feeling that with the right settings applied to it you can make everything sound better, doesn't really matter what sound or instrument you are using.

I wish PRS would made the 7-string with a 25 inch scale the same as it comes with their 6 string guitars. 26.5 inch scale length sucks.

do one with a free DAW for all the ppl to see, Logic only on Mac and kinda expensive... do this on Reaper or Ardour.. it's easy with reaper when you get Saike's reverb pack he made free for reaper.. Abyss reverb and Lava Reverb

I like it but there is something wrong with the setting, maybe it is the overdrive or your tone setting. The reverb seems to have too much presence and gets over the guitar character. I should be curious to hear again with a clean tone setting. But thanks for sharing!

Was considering real cab and power amp for iridium and other preamps i have, i think the flexibility of an frfr is the way im going to go to still play with IRs. I just want to get away from headphone playing or being tied to my monitor speakers. Might go with the fender fr10 or 12 they look pretty good

yeah nice video except for you didn't explain what ambient guitar is?? Now we all love effects pedals and everything and took your time to explain how you doing facts but why am I listening to this video I couldn't keep my interest in the video to see what you were talking about other words you should've put the sound of what you were looking for in the beginning of your video. It's not interesting enough to sit there for half an hour to find out what a ambient guitar thing or whatever OK I tried to fast-forward to even hear what the final results was and the video so long that I had lost interest in I decided to leave this comment.

I’ve been there. In an ambulance with the lights and sirens on, fearing she might have a stroke. It wasn’t but in those five minutes (we live close to the hospital) my life just turned to a dull darkness. Worst feeling I’ve had in my life. On the flip side though, it cured me of any remaining jealousy. If I lose her to someone who can give her something I can’t, I’ll cry for sure but… it won’t be that feeling I had in that ambulance.

I almost lost my wife in a gone bad surgery last year. It was a horrible time for my daughters and me... traumatic. All the best for you!

So I heard Nazareth's "Love Hurts" and I'm pretty sure they use an E-Bow on that song, along with a lot of phase shifting and chorus effects.

I just bought the Amplitube TONEX pedal, and then just seen this crossing my feed. Amplitude is knocking it out of the park with their gear. I mean, the TONEX is not a real tube amp and I can feel that slight difference of it not being real tubes. But its so damn close is scary and you would never know the difference in a recording of what was used to record a song with between Tonex or and amplifier. I do have a Hall of Fame 2 pedal that has most of this already. But this Reverb pedal sounds very nice. Now I have to check out the delay they made.
